This is the Trump administration stupid attempt to make it look like they pay tarrifs when it’s still Americans paying them on import.

It’s not just orders that are affected by this moron, it’s anyone sending a package into the US. So like you’re traveling and want to send a gift home for your family, now tax has to be collected on it, you live abroad and want to send some home baked goods to family in the US, also taxed.

Wasn’t there a revolution that occurred because a king was taxing people without representation? Seems like it might be time to get acquainted with the thinking of America’s founders.

family from Colombia paid DHL $70 to send me medicines via two day delivery. That was two weeks ago. Finally received notice that the medicines are being sent back next Friday.
Don’t waste your time and money trying to import to the US.

One thing I don’t quite understand here is why this cannot work?

I mean, it probably a USA side issue or something with how they set up their inbound processing facilities, but when I buy something in the USA and have get shipped to the EU, it enters my country and the package Transporter basically works as the customs office and collects any outstanding import taxes on it. I get a payment link and once that is resolved the package gets on the regular national distribution.

I’m a consultant for a couple firms that import. Many of our shipments were held up mysteriously this week and released today. On a personal note I had an order from the UK held up as well that has still not been released. It looks like they’re trying to bolster the collection by withholding packages.

People pointed out America first is an isolationist mindset. We are in the find out stage of FAFO.

I don’t know when it’ll happen but we’re on a trajectory where eventually we’ll leave NATO or they’ll kick us out. There’s a future NWO where we aren’t at the top. Without being active members in the global economy, Americans of this future will have to be fully self reliant.
