Higher educational achievement leads to less crime rates, hence why they deny it, among other resources, rights, and due process, and now denial of very existence to people of color and diversity.

I am glad Newsom is calling out Red States and how they’re in much worse state on every metric, even though Right wing media loves painting California in worse light. It’s not like Missouri or Oklahoma are gonna vote for Democrats, so just call them out
The problem is that headlines like this are playing into their game and are kind of sane washing it. Why would they focus on that part of his message? It’s not even actually about crime to begin with.
Yes but it does not matter to Republicans they know its not actually about crime most understand its just a smokescreen to militarize the police to further the march towards a White Christian nationalists state.
Oakland, Lancaster, and Stockton have some of the highest crime rates in the US.

Newsom sat there inflating the narrative that police solve crime, growing his police state, validating the narrative that there is a crime problem here.

The guy’s in full campaign mode and why not. Dems have not been terribly aggressive in a while. 80+ year old Bernie has been putting in more hard work than nearly everyone out there on the left. Not suggesting Newsom is the best for the job as I have no clue, but he has an incredible CV and is at least being active/aggressive against bullies.
