Managed to turn the only pro US political party in India to anti US one, all work which US presidents have done for 20+ years to improve the relationship with them goneeee to waste

Trump should be out of the office as soon as possible. The US cannot afford to lose India as an ally against China. India is pivotal for supply-chain diversification, tech, and Indo-Pacific security. Punitive tariffs push India toward strategic hedging. The government should prioritize a fast-track tariff rollback and a roadmap for FTA talks to keep India aligned and counter China effectively, but this clown show of a government would just continue to use tariff as a tool for „diplomacy“.

This is good for India in the long run. Time to retrospect and promote local industries.
Though GM Food produced by the US is a cheaper source to feed livestock and china could consume the livestock, it may not suit for the direct consumption for Indian people. India is not ready to handle spikes in cancer, autism, obesity cases. Accepting tariff is the better option for India.

I feel sorry for the American people. India has seen its share of misery, but for a vast majority of Americans, Trump must feel like an asteroid hit.

Think we beyond that arent we? The next admin will try swaying India again but its done for. While we are neutral, the notion of being allies with the US is gone. Its a long shot but its gone. Everyone knows it.
The US also has the attitude if your not with us your against us. So its proper motivation to move away from the US tech stack and build our own

Punishing India for purchasing oil from Russia, but not punishing Russia directly. Yeah, that makes sense.

It’s just a deal, there is no possibility that „India will turn to China“. Modi just try to make a card with „turn to China“ to bargain with Trump, I believe there will be a deal soon between Modi and Trump after Modi visit China.

For people talking about morality-calling out india for buying Russian oil- have nothing to say about USA openly supporting a terrorist state Pak. Wake up and smell the coffee guys, you are too naive for geopolitics if u think it’s about morality. This is business.
