Und wir wissen, dass viele Zyprioten aufgrund von Preis und Komfort über Istanbul von Ercan in die USA fliegen.
Meine Frage ist, wenn Sie die Tore im Norden durchlaufen, verlassen Sie die Insel technisch nicht und wenn Sie von Ercan auf Papier zurückkehren, scheinen Sie in andere Länder zu fliegen, ohne die Insel zu verlassen.
Meine Frau ist Russisch und sie verließ die Insel aus dem Norden. Ich bin 2022 aus Larnaca geflogen und wir kehrten beide von Ercan zurück.
Welche Probleme können dies verursachen? Ich weiß, dass es für mich kein Problem geben wird, aber sie ist kein Bürger.

It mostly causes problems for people from non-EU countries who would be classed as having never left and therefore technically overstayed their visa (or visa free travel period).
Apart from the fact that you are using a non-recognised airport (you never know what can happen in security/customs etc) there should be no day to day problems.
However if your wife wants to apply for cypriot citizenship in the future she will not be able to get one.
This is because one of the conditions of getting one is to not have an illegal entry or exit into the republic, and the airport is considered as one.
Suprisingly, KYP (Cypriot Intelligent Service) usually finds out the illegal entries/exit upon the submission of the citizenship application.
How were you treated by Turkish Airlines considering that Turkey does not recognise the Rep of Cyprus? How did you find Istanbul airport? Didn’t security there not quiz you about your ROC passport? I assumed that Greek Cypriots face arrest for illegal entry if they attempt to enter Turkey.
