„Take Back Alberta“… that’s probably what the Indigenous Nations in Alberta are thinking.
Seriously, some people will have to understand that 1) Canada is not the United States and the anti human rights mindset of the South is not accepted by most Canadians, 2) If people wants schools that only teach „good ‚ol values“, then they are free to create their own private school but they should never be allowed to corrupt the public system with their hate, and 3) People should review Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedom, as well as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights because „Parental Rights“ can NEVER supersede“Human Rights“.
Some parents are so afraid that their child may end up being not straight that they will try anything.
Before the days of public education people were still not straight.
Even when having same sex relationships was against the law, people had same sex relationships.
LGBTQ+ people have existed since people existed and no amount of repressing information from your kids about what it means to not be straight will make Tommy want to date Janey when he’s actually attracted to Jimmy.
Like come on.
So are social conservatives against schools „indoctrinating“ their children or not? Is it only good if they’re the ones doing it? I suspect it is.
