      Yes. He correctly thinks that the vast majority of Belgians do not recall such things, let alone letting it affect their voting intentions.

      Confederalism/federalism/regionalism/however you want to call it is the only realistic path forward for Belgium though.

      So, you’re equating that with his negotiations?

      Nobody knows the details, but effectly you’re saying „when he did those negotiations in 2019, he did so in a manner that would screw over the frenchspeaking community“

      Which… how do you know that?

    5. Did he, though? I’m the last person to defend him and the PS, but if I’m not mistaken most of these „Magnette agreed to implement confederalism“ rumours come from N-VA friendly sources. The only thing we know for sure is that the government formation talks between PS and N-VA back then broke down (De Wever blames Bouchez for that tho IIRC).
