My take: Judging from how the new Tympou/Ercan airport went it will be a hot mess with turkish settlers and foreigners, nothing real for the TCs. Its is even more unrealistic that the Israel Cyprus Crete pipe line.

The article also mentioned the potential of the environmental destruction and its very real. I don’t know if anyone of you ever went to Karpaz/Karpasia but it’s one of our jewels of nature imho. Full of wild donkeys, beautiful beaches and some of the cleanest waters of Cyprus. I some glad it was underdeveloped and I hope it stays lik that ( Same applies for Akamas in Paphos). The only thing we need there is better roads.

Politically speaking I’ve mention it to u/Deep-Ad4183 OP too, you know when you have a test the next day and you have not studied anything all the semester and you are trying to do you best to show that you know shit?

That is what this is. Tatar is and Turkey shit on the north from 5 years with properties been sold to foreigners, the palace, the electricity cuts the terrible conditions to school and now they gassligting them with this.

Yes given the timing this might just be part of Tatars election campaign to create for the simple minded a feeling of hope and progress coming from Turkey

  3. I had the displeasure of meeting him in person a few times. He is not an educated man; he is illiterate. He worked in construction, but somehow!! he became extremely wealthy. He is well-connected. His relationship with the Turkish government is much better than that of any TC politician. He is constantly playing power games with others. He likes „girls.“
He’s the kind of person you don’t want to socialize with. He has a very dark soul.
His Turkish is broken because he is Kurdish. His communication skills are nonexistent.

  4. So retarded. If it wasn’t for the immense negative ecological consequences, I’d say let them burn their money away on stupid projects.
