So wealthy white collar criminals can post bail but the rest have to stay in the can? Convenient

When *that* headline finally drops I’m going to throw a party and there will be lots of guac, we will all get drunk and sing songs of revelry and merriment.

What’s the point of free bail.  They just don’t won’t up for court!!

All of this because some 20 year old beta got his ass kicked by a 15 year old girl.

      This is absolutely unconstitutional.

The U.S. Constitution’s Eighth Amendment includes the Excessive Bail Clause, which states that „excessive bail shall not be required. Which means if you have only 50 bucks that is it. You can’t put bail at a number the defendant can’t post.

Trump is ramping up the insanity to get people to protest and then allow the NG to shoot them.

    6. For a guy trying to get into heaven he sure seems intent on going to hell.

    7. Put everyone in jail. Put the military on the street in a city where the police were able to control situation’s.

Sit back. This is only the beginning of trumps dictatorship role.

Roll the dice… Who will the next big city be? It won’t be a red state where crime is rampant of course.

So poor folks stay in jail. Definitely not a two level justice system. /s

Just throw it on top of the pile of other illegal executive orders.

I can’t imagine any universe where this is a legal EO, but I can’t see anyone in ours challenging this. All of our politicians are spineless cowards.

    11. I’ve always thought bail as instituted is a terrible idea. If a person is a harm or is expected to flee if released, keep them locked up. If not, let them go until their trial. Why does it make sense to make it based on whether or not they can afford to pay?

Now, I also think cashless bail is a step in the right direction and the federal government stepping in is another abuse of power to add to the pile.

I was once arrested for something I wasn’t guilty of. I was poor and released on cashless bail. 6 months later I beat the case and it was expunged. Can’t imagine what it would’ve been like had I been in d.c. under this new EO.

Does Congress do any work anymore or is everything a silly child’s EO? May as well put his auto pen to crayon.

Lock em up and throw away the key.

If the government really wanted to find waste, fraud, and abuse in our systems, they need to look at our prisons. Just saying.

The future field works of America don’t need bail. Why do they need bail they are pour Cheeto can do what he wants with them.

      >“So they’re watching us today, and if they don’t learn their lesson, if they haven’t studied us properly, because we’re going to be very successful,“ Trump said of other cities earlier this month.

      What a dottering idiot

    17. I don’t care how it happens, I just literally can not fucking wait. I’m gonna party SO fucking hard. All my MAGA neighbors are going to hate me and I don’t give a flying shit
