Can’t wait for Duolingo to break into NK and teach the kids how to prepare themselves for overseas work.
More like forced labor overseas for money to feed the regime. Work here is misused.

I’m all for additional education and literacy everywhere, but is any modern democracy going to actually hire NK workers knowing full well where that money is going to funnel toward?
I can see places with similar governments potentially using and abusing this like Russia and China, but (perhaps ignorantly) as an American I can’t think of any U.S business that would employ these workers.
…Though I suppose an Iphone factory in China would probably do it in a heartbeat until they got caught.
Not only manual workers, but overseas trading companies also get very good salaries and access to foreign luxuries. If North Korea wants to deepen the trade with China and Russia, those people will be major beneficiaries

I saw North Korean workers building a giant statue in Senegal some years ago. They were all small, like stunted small. It was really noticeable
