Well, I thought he was terrific. He and Eric were an adorable, believable, comedic gay couple. MF is among my top favorite tv sitcoms.

The classic struggle: „I’m an artist“ vs „no you’re an ambassador.“
Cam and Mitch were a huge chunk of why that show was so good, though. Glad he was able to lean into the artist side.

Some of the gay community was a little ticked off because they leaned into stereotypes for a mainstream straight audience…..

I was pleased bc I watched him on other shows that never gave him room to let his comedic roots show. He’s one of my favorites on that show. His sarcastic comments are gems to me!

I get the people think the character was stereotypical but man it did a lot of good for gay people in the United States. It normalized and humanized gay couples for people who weren’t accustomed to being around gay people. And frankly the backlash to it is very frustrating for me because it’s indicative of a certain segment of the left who want to skip to their preferred end and don’t accept incremental progress as progress.
