Why Hamilton?

Edit: Many thanks all for clarifying! Once I posted, it crossed my mind that it could have been the Quartians guy with the formula on the bridge. Wasn’t in a position to confirm his name.

Why not just call it Hamilton ?

Like that part of Darndale they started calling „newtown“

Tbh I am not a fan of the new name, just sounds like a suburb. I guess Ballyboggan/Baile Bhogáin(Town of the bog/marshy ground) does not sound classy enough for some but it is also shame to lose the old names for areas because of that.

Ballyboggan clearly sounds too like Ballybough, I’d say

So in response to widespread criticism about the low number of units, they’re gaslighting us by counting some houses that already have permission and telling us we’re counting the rest wrong. No change in numbers, just a change in maths.

Can we please just name it in Irish and stop with the continued murder of our language!?

Never heard of it but rest assured I will be referring to it as Ballyboggan from now on.
