>Albania, which two centuries ago wept for the departure of its most illustrious sons and heroes who so valiantly defended it against the Barbarians, now, being dedicated to Your Most Illustrious Lordship, is consoled in part, remembering that among so many warriors were Filippo and Giovanni of the noble family of the Lazi, who, invited by the fame of the great Federico of Montefeltro, Duke of Urbino, transferred themselves there, and from that province arose the family later called the Albani. From them have descended into this new century their illustrious heirs, in whom Your Most Illustrious Lordship shines, and in our Latium [Rome] will shine ever more, confirming your glory.”
