Harris gets an easy ride from rte and journalist on this issue . A child died in absolute agony . Harris only cares about himself .

Honestly, as a parent I can’t imagine their pain.

But this is a totally unreasonable attack on a person and we will get no one in politics if this keeps up.

This government like all the recent ones are generally very socialist and put huge public spend into health care.

People need to take the personal stuff away from public service or well have reality tv wankers in charge like us / UK.

    3. He doesn’t deserve death threats, but he pledged to meet them in September 2024 and he didn’t do so. Something that was entirely within his remit and control. He deserves a lot of criticism he is getting rightly.

Harris promised some of the most vulnerable children in our society ,kids in insufferable pain ,that they would wait no longer than 4 months for surgery , this was cruelty on another level if it was unachievable he has minister had a duty to realise this yet he still made the promise ,but what can you expect from the man responsible for the nations health and safety who was so on top of his brief he thought there had been 18 previous covids , he made his promise because he thought it was politically expedient at the time ,no thought for children and their families , despicable

There is a real risk that we’re going to completely alienate large parts of society, from ever considering public service, by making politicians the target and source of all our ire and frustration.

People can say he deserves this for making promises, I’d rather politicians set goals and targets and make promises. Otherwise you get a free for all like the US has turned into and the UK almost fell into.

The personalisation of politics, particularly from those online too much – is really undermining democracy at this point.

    7. Simon Harris is one the biggest failures of modern Ireland. He’s like a Bertie. Not sure what exactly will be the straw to break the camel’s back here. It wasn’t the cervical cancer scandal, or the children’s hospital, or the housing crisis, or the interaction he had with that carer in Supervalu, or now this with Harvey.

When is enough, enough? What does he do for anyone? His constituency or the country? He’s a scumbag.
