Trump needs to go. He just wants to control everything. This is not a push for justice, It’s a push for control. If we continue to let him do this in OUR capital. Imagine what could be next.

I’m amazed by how so many people are surprised at his shit. I knew in November that the United States would become a Military dictatorship. Trump will use the military to control everything including elections and Court decisions.
Democracy is over. How funny if the people who voted for him didn’t realize it.

I would say „Wait until the next Dem Presidency“, but the more these totally insane headlines keep rolling in the more I am starting to realize that they are governing with the knowledge that there will be no consequences. Meaning that there will be no Dem president….

I suppose the next step is barbed wire around the whole thing with military checkpoints for those entering or leaving.

No one should be surprised by this and D.C. is just the start. A major city in your state could be next. I’m betting on a state government being taken over before the midterms. The governor arrested, lackeys appointed, the whole works. It’s coming.

Time for the people of DC to nullify the Fed’s constitutional authority over DC if he attempts this, starting with a general strike.

The constitution’s authority over the district was predicated on the idea that essentially no one would live there full time. It’s now a bigger economy than half of our states are. The right to local rule outweighs an arcane clause. The people and local government of DC should make this clear and defy attempts at federal control.

In the process of creating a “HungerGames safe capital”. If and when the government go full facist/theocracy it will give the government a safe place to avoid protests, physical violence etc. It will take a year or so but they have already cancelled White House tours, and are going through neighborhoods pointing out soon to be arresting offenses. There will be a time when you will have to “get permission” to visit the museums, monuments, the war memorials etc. in the capital. ‘It’s a beautiful capital and it needs to be safe for all who visit” will be the battle cry for the government.

Fast forward 10 years. DC is called The Golden City. Everything is perfect, no crime, no homelessness, gilded decorations adorn everything. The mass graves are well outside the fortified city walls, out of view of the aristocracy. There’s no hunger. All is peaceful…

Federal agencies such as the DEA, National Guard, active duty military/Pentagon, ICE, ATF, US Marshals, Secret Service, HSI, FBI, and the Justice Department are designed to operate separately, with distinct missions, oversight structures, and legal boundaries. They may share intelligence and coordinate when needed, but they are not intended to function as a single, unified domestic force under the direct command of the president for broad, open-ended “law and order” operations.

When these agencies are deployed in unison on U.S. streets.. complete with military vehicles, roadblocks, and overlapping jurisdictions.. it’s not just unusual, it’s dangerous. It blurs the constitutional separation between military and civilian policing, undermines local authority, and creates the framework for a centralized federal police apparatus.

Historically, authoritarian governments have used this exact tactic: unify distinct security services under executive control, then use them in domestic operations to intimidate opponents and bypass normal checks on power.

The U.S. has always resisted this model. Our laws.. like the Posse Comitatus Act.. exist to prevent the military from performing domestic law enforcement. The wholesale unification of multiple agencies for open-ended street patrols in the nation’s capital is without precedent in modern U.S. history.

Compounding the risk is a Congress unwilling to challenge an executive who claims sweeping immunity and personal control over the federal apparatus. If the president decides tomorrow to send this combined force into dozens of American cities, there are few institutional barriers left to stop him.. especially if political allies refuse to object. He has already tested this model, from Los Angeles deployments to nationwide ICE raids.

We are only seven months into his term, and this is the first time in U.S. history that a sitting president has deployed such a breadth of federal forces in this way domestically, outside of wartime or a formally declared national emergency. It is both a warning and a precedent.. and history shows that once this line is crossed, it is rarely rolled back without a major reckoning.

I know these MAGA conservatives are loving this. But do they not realize, even in their most rage-induced brains, that this is a threat? First, DC. Then what? Chicago? The entire state of California because of Newsom’s tweets? Then what’s next? If a governor like the one in Georgia pisses him off does he send troops there to oust him?

And really what can we do? The average everyday person is struggling to make ends meet so they are distracted. Meanwhile the tech lords that once seemingly cared are having their way, just like the pigs in Animal Farm. They’ve become as bad—or worse—than the greedy corporate overlords who push us to work for their billions because we have little choice.

The majority of Congress has sold out. So has the Supreme Court. Forget about the separation of powers. There’s one power: Trump. Whatever he wants, he gets. Even if there’s a little resistance from the courts, it’s either squashed or ignored. Most of our leaders have neutered themselves. They have no balls to stand up for the checks and balances on which this country was founded.

The military doesn’t appear to care. In fact, I know most of my friends (or former friends) in the military who cheer this on. They have been so brainwashed by the MAGA-Fox News propaganda that they think this is how it should be. If they continue to follow this monster rather than stand up to it, they will no longer be freedom fighters. My grandfather, who fought in WWII, could be turning in his grave.

The media won’t do anything. They have no balls. They’ve sold out. When anyone raises their voice, they are maliciously muted. Cancel culture, just like MAGA whined about for the last decade.

Soon there left and right won’t mean shit. Heaven or Valhalla help us if this fucker goes Robespierre on us. Because there will no longer be left or right. There will only be loyalists to MAGA and their perceived enemies who will be vilified with even the tiniest whisper.

Freedom is dying. Fascism is here. And those of us who love liberty and democracy are fucked.
