The strike Orban describes in his letter must have been the 13th of August. I saw an article about this and it is just before the Alaska meeting on the 15th. Means that Orban sent the letter on the 19th at the latest (5 days ago). But the 19th doesn’t make sense because Trump called Orban on the 18th after he spoke with Zelensky in the White House. Trump asked him why he was blocking Ukraines accession into the EU (connected to strikes I think). So Trump had gotten the letter and brought it up with Zelenskyy when they met. Ukraine made a new strike yesterday, so Trumps letter response has no implications. Ukraine will continue blocking the pipe line.
Haven’t seen this talked about. Unecha facility was hit not because it cuts supply to Hungaria and Slovakia. Real reason is oil from Unecha going to Russian port Ust-Luga from where it used to fill Russia budget money with it’s exports to other non-EU countries.
Hungaria and Slovakia just so happened to be affected as well but they had all the time in the world and decided to continue buying Russian oil anyway.
