I don’t know how I feel about this.
On one hand we need this to get back on track, but on the other hand Trump is 100% pulling our chain.
I think if trump re-negs (which he will) we need to go back harder.
This is all such bullshit, one man should not be able to fuck with our economy this much. It’s clear we need to make up some distance to the Americans.
We only dropped tariffs on CUSMA goods. Why would the US negotiate with us while we are actively defying our existing agreement?
Trump has threatened to tariff CUSMA goods but so far he has chickened out every time. We should have never done it until he did it first.
He’ll be bragging about how he got us to drop tarrifs and calling us nasty, difficult negotiators again in no time.
