Feel like this a fuck around and find out if you choose to vacation and spend money in United States of Trump after the last six months.
Earlier this summer, my mom went to visit a bunch of our relatives down south after months of badgering from their ignorant Trump-voting asses, and I felt a responsibility to tell her the scope of the risk she faced – God bless her ability to tune out the news, it keeps her sane, but it’s just a simple fact that the threat any Canadian faces going South at the moment is greater than it’s been at any time in our lives.
I’m deeply sympathetic to people with friends, family, or a fiance in the States, I have plenty and I miss them dearly. But anyone in the States insisting you come visit them rather than them coming here is not someone who’s worried about your safety, and you should consider them accordingly.
