Wow. Apparently the UN believes the Famine has hit the exact two geographical areas that Israel is about to start operations in and where Israel believe Hamas is keeping the hostages. And not a day before the operation begins. That’s a wild coincidence.

I reckon I can guess his answer.

And the UN once again shows they are biased in this conflict. They’ve had months to declare a famine in Gaza city but they waited till Israel is planning a new offensive…

Are we really shocked at this point? It’s been pretty clear for a while that there was a famine or things were at least heading that way

Well why doesn’t hamas release the hostages, stop buying guns and missiles and feed the starving 👍🏼

There are so many videos and photos of stacks of aid sitting there that Israel has already let in and the UN hasn’t touched. There are also videos of trucks that have been hijacked by Hamas and other militant groups.
This sounds like a UN problem.

How convenient… Suddenly the background machinery starts spinning out the famine, 83% number. Sometime back it was The „40k children may die“ number

I’m from Israel and I don’t support the war, I do also think that before all the support got inside it’s possible there were areas in which people indeed suffered starvation, BUT, less than 2100 calories for a person per day is what the UN considers “starvation”? Isn’t it like… a lot? To just maintain weight?

> A famine is classified when an area has the following:
> Daily mortality rate exceeds two per 10,000 people, or four per 10,000 children under five.
In Gaza, with a population of 2 million, that would be 400 people a day. Which is more than the total dead from malnutrition over 2 years let alone daily.
Anyone know where they pulled their data from? From the same article
> Deaths from malnutrition and starvation are spiking, according to figures from Gaza’s Health Ministry, verified by the World Health Organisation.
> In just the first 20 days of August, there were 133 deaths attributed to malnutrition or starvation, including 25 children, the ministry said.
> This is up from 89 deaths in the first 22 months of the conflict.

But Hamas can steal food trucks then sell it off at 10x the price. Get a damn grip!

Anyone who is okay with starving kids is evil.
Does this statement make me antisemitic IDF online force?

The level of corruption is gross. Literally changing definitions just so you can shift the narrative. No wonder IPC is backed by UN, just a political tool of theirs.
