I can make out a few words but that’s it – it looks „Kurrent“, the previous form of handwriting that was replaced by modern handwriting almost 100 years ago.

    2. It does not even look like Kurrent but more like the way they used to write in the middle ages…

    3. Have you checked if someone has already made a transcript of this text?

If it is printed in a book, it should be known well enough for someone to have made a transcript, maybe even a translation.

Do you know where this text is from/what it is?

      Made with AI:

To the high-born Prince and Lord, Lord
Joachim, Margrave of Brandenburg, etc., our most gracious Lord
In the year of our Lord 1523, on the 7th day of September

Whereas misunderstandings and grievances between the common citizens and inhabitants of the city of Cölln on the Spree on the one part, and the honorable Council of the city of Cölln on the other part, have arisen and been agitated, which by
Council, councillors, and the entire community, our gracious Lord has
      overlooked and entered.

Firstly, that all disputes concerning taxes, interest, and other burdens that the community had against the Council shall cease and no longer
be practiced. And it shall generally henceforth not be compensated.

Item, if anyone henceforth attacks a councilman or other servant of the Council with
words or deeds, or strikes, throws, or pushes them,
so that they are hindered in their office and can no longer
exercise it, then a judge, who has been appointed within four weeks,
and as a result of obedience, shall be held before
disobedience, through which the four weeks
shall not be, and it shall be settled.

    5. I’m not sure if this is Modern High German, It looks like Middle High or even Old High German

    6. I was curious so literally just copy pasted your picture into ChatGPT (obviously no guarantee that it is 100% correct):

      Translation:

To the illustrious and high-born prince
      and lord, Margrave of Brandenburg,
      Archbishop of Magdeburg and Elector,
in the year 1522, to my gracious and favorable lord,
Albrecht, Cardinal of the Holy Roman Emperor’s Majesty,
      Bishop of Halberstadt
and Administrator of the Archbishopric of Magdeburg,
      my gracious lord.

Since I have recently summoned and spoken with several of Your Grace’s subjects
      from the district of Wolmirstedt,
they have declared to me with humble diligence and petition
that they are greatly burdened and afflicted
by the heavy pressure of taxes and levies,
and that their goods and estates have much diminished and become poor.

Therefore they have most humbly expressed to me
that these taxes and levies are so high and grievous
that, in common, they can no longer endure them.
