It’s about time for the courts to have the people’s backs.

Newsom needs to run in 2028 on the promise to redistrict the entire nation.
Well, we’ve arrived at the inevitable endpoint of Gerrymandering. The full endorsement of the courts, Republicans scrapping together whatever they can to get an advantage, and Democrats using it to play catch-up. Back to the pre-Civil War days of constantly adding new Free and Slave states to try and keep the balance of power in check.
This is the Dems‘ best option to counteract the Republicans increasingly brazen attempts at stealing power. And the fact that this statement is true means that whatever Democracy you guys have left is on the brink of total collapse.

I hate that we’re at a point where we’re purposefully talking about disenfranchising voters in order to specifically grab power. Neither side should be doing this and rank choice voting is, in my opinion, a relatively easy fix…. Instead, let’s all pretend we didn’t learn coloring in kindergarten.
Look Abbott and the Texas GOP are the ones making the rules. As a Texan I’m all for California fighting back. Abbott is a disgrace trying to silence voters at every turn. All is fair in a game against a cheating pack of assholes. I hope the maps are found unconstitutional and end it all. We need to make gerrymandering illegal for all.
