I want her to take accountability for alot.
She still on this?
Maybe she needs a mirror to look at the person who’s actually responsible for messing with her livelihood…
She blames so much on others when she played a part in her own nonsense.
She’s so full of shit.
She refused to do them a favor (unpaid promotion), and they in turn refused to do her a favor (preferential job offers). She made her choice. Nobody owes her anything.
Doing things your way comes with a price. Artists know this, thats why a lot of them sell out. She’s too good to play the game and too good to pay the price. So what jobs would possibly meet her standards and be willing to put up with her control issues? Entertainment and art are collaborative processes.
It’s abundantly clear that, they won’t.
I want Oprah to take accountability for Doctors Phil and Oz, what truly awful contributions to society.
Two things can be true here…black women can be exploited by Hollywood regularly and also Mo’Nique can be a paranoid conspiracy theorist.
Mo’Nique didn’t want to do promo for Precious in Europe because she wasn’t paid for her time. What she had asked for (being paid for her time) was and is outside industry norms.
It doesn’t matter that it shouldn’t be normal. It makes perfect sense that people would hear that, and think she’s difficult to work with.
And then she proceeded to drag Perry and Oprah publicly for the next 10+ years. Yikes.
Perry and Oprah are trash but Mo’Nique is the one who needs to take accountability. And move on.
