Deadline in 24 hours, right?
Two weeks.
Trump is almost 9 months late on his first promised deadline. It’s almost as if people who talk big all the time are full of shit.
Been away from reddit for three months.
Just back to roll my eyes at how Trump has only gone in pathetic circles since then.

These people don’t have the slightest fucking idea of what’s going on, what they’re doing or even what to do. If you go through every statement over the last few months in chronological order it makes it crystal fucking clear that Trump and his team are completely flailing in the wind and have not even the tiniest bit of control over what’s happening.
The entire public side of the Putin and Zelensky meetings consisted entirely of Trump speaking the equivalent of fucking gibberish, without one single coherent point regarding the topics at hand.
Graham speaks in meaningless word salads that carry as much weight as the feather boa’s he wears at home.

Let me be clear. PUTIN does not care. For the 100th time. If you want to make it clear then hit them with such backbreaking sanctions that they have no choice but to listen and concede. OR it’s time to say Ukraine is now a no fly zone and your drones or missiles will be intercepted. I mean a suicide drone flew 60-70 miles in to Poland and blew up that’s one helleva accident.
Seriously either it’s time to get tough or just come out and say we really don’t care and tuck our tails behind us. So at least we know where we stand when Putin comes for the Baltics or whoever next.

Without offering a single concession Putin basically removed it with a smile and a handshake.
After the recent Lavrov statements we’re back to square one with Russia still stonewalling with a maximum of demands. It seems like the Russians have pushed themselves past a point where they can even accept a scenario where they don’t really win but have the option to go back to a pre-war configuration of things. By now they are so committed that anything but an outright victory constitutes a strategic loss.
The best thing that could happen is the EU and … basically every ally outside if the US take over the reistence effort.
Trump has left the solid ally role that was once the US. Now the rest of the world needs to continue to cut out and shut out the US from the global family until they sort their shit out.
As a Canadian, I hope we set up with the EU more than wet have been.
