      Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has insisted that any acceptable security guarantees for Ukraine must include Russia (and allies like China), granting Moscow effective veto power—effectively sidelining Western-led “Article 5-like” arrangements. Ukraine outright rejects this demand, warning it would leave them defenseless, and Western allies are pushing back hard.

      Russia is creating unrealistic demands, as usual. This forces Ukraine to not accept and makes it look like they don’t want peace. The reality is that Russia has one goal, and that is to take all of Ukraine. Anything that Russia says is a lie. They are stalling, and nothing good will come of it.

      The only country that should have zero input is Russia and Belarus. The only valid reason to want a veto is to attack again without an escalated conflict. You know, exactly what everyone knows will happen if Russia gets a pause. Within a couple years they will attack again after they rebuild their war machine because Putin’s goals have not been met. They won’t be met until the USSR territories are all a part of Russia. Exactly as Putin has said.

      Every deal. Every negotiation. It just wants Ukraine under its thumb. Why entertain them at this point. They don’t want peace. They want *a* piece.

      Russia isn’t a great power. This is Russia desperately and pathetically lashing out to feign great power status.

      It is a middling regional power at best. It has relatively little economic influence globally, it’s conventional forces have been exposed as far weaker than the world previously thought, and it doesn’t project a lot of power internationally.

      ruSSia does not get to dictate terms. Putin has an active arrest warrant from the ICC for war-crimes. They are the unilateral agressor, invade ding a sovereign state. In 1996, the west agreed to protect Ukraine and ensure its continued sovereignty. For this reason and also not to reward aggressors, or war crimes, ruSSia should not be allowed to dictate anything.

      Fuck those ass-clowns. The only one who will have veto power is The Ukraine. Russia is weak, their armed forces are weak, ill equipped, and VERY poorly led. Their rulers are kleptocratic criminals and should all be put down. The world should fund an Anti Putin Army out of the Ukraine, and target these clowns and criminals. They’ve had their trials, now its pay back.
