    Ich überquere bald die südwestliche Slowakei, was soll ich sehen und tun?


    Ich überquere bald die Slowakei und beschloss, Autobahnen auszuschalten und die Landstraßen zu machen. Welchen dieser Google -Vorschläge sollte ich nehmen und was ist es wert, auf dem Weg zu sehen und zu besuchen? Es macht mir auch nichts aus einem kleinen Umweg. Danke.

      All three of them are boring roads through villages and between fields – flat lands. So it doesn’t matter

      Take it to banska stiavnica banska bystrica and thi route it will be better

      Without additional information it is hard to advise anything – the suggested routes are not the most practical. The dark blue route is not really attractive and not giving you a clear picture how south-western Slovakia looks like. Following the southern routes you can probably stop by Gabčíkovo to check the dam-hydroelectric powerplant, but the object is rather a bizarre industrial memento of nature disturbance.

      Kolárovo is a small town, probably worth checking for the floating water mill and a coffee. Komárno is giving you the most places to see with its fortress, decent restaurants and museums, but the suggested road is very weird. I would definitely take another (free) route through Rovinka, Šamorín and Veľký Meďer there.

      If you are planning to visit the Southwest by car, I would follow the road to Štúrovo from Komárno, to see the Danube (especially in Radvaň nad Dunajom, which is the closest settlement to the river), maybe the Brigetio roman camp in Iža, check the magnificient view to Danube and the Esztergom basilica in Štúrovo and afterwards turn north to get to Želiezovce.

      Well, you are avoiding Levice, which is the best possible decision you could have made.

      There’s the Eszterhazy chateau in Galanta. really pretty area. Avoid Šala, as it’s just a rundown shithole

      Visit Nitra!! Beautiful castle, nice park, small hikes around the city and very delicious ice cream near centrum Mlyny.

      Check out Trnava, the old town is a hidden gem. Most of the old town is surrounded by 13th century fortification walls which is truly an unique sight

      I do not know what restrictions made you choose this route from bratislava to lucenec. You can take other faster routes. If you are not very familiar with slovakia, Banska Stiavnica is an obvious choice. Closer to the selected route, besides several obvious choices in the west, I would recommend stone dwellings in brhlovce, Hontianske Tesare, and/or Lisov, Sebechleby-stara hora.

      Go more north. Podunajská nížina is boring af. Nitra, Trnava, Banská Štiavnica are far more interesting
