    1. > “It’s super important when you become famous or a public figure to be transparent,” she told the outlet. “Now, when I see someone and I can tell they’ve never done anything … I wish I could go back and be that person. I was so hung up on this idea that I needed to be attractive to men so that I could survive.“

      > Fox has previously shared that she’s had Botox, liposuction, a rhinoplasty and veneers, but says she doesn’t have any current plans for future procedures. “I probably will [get more work done one day], but I’m just not as concerned with it right now,“ she said.

      > Amid the plastic surgery craze, the actress says there’s „something to be said“ about aging naturally, but she still has fears about getting older.

      Translation:

I attempted to ‘surgery my way’ to a career but I was neither attractive enough for modelling, emotionally-intelligent enough to pull off acting, nor interesting enough for a podcast grift.

      So………ACTIVISM IT IS

I have to assume that everyone who reads this as “blaming men” are male.

This comment section is acting like men haven’t been setting beauty standards for women for centuries and upholding youth as the eternal goal for women.

I regret everything I’ve ever learned about this woman, even though it’s all been against my will.

    6. Men?

So the paychecks that you were receiving as a result of said surgeries get no blame?

      Accountability has left the building.

    7. Uhh no, men tell women not to get this shit done all the time but then they get yelled at by the internet saying stuff like „she’s not doing it for you, she’s doing it for herself!!!“

this gender war bullshit is gettin **really fuckin old, Reddit**

She has some pretty significant mental issues from what I remember. For women who don’t, just remember – most men don’t like this. Milfs are popular for a reason.

This is an interesting thread. I’m in NY, and I see girls from 18-25 getting surgeries and lip fillers, yet I don’t know any guys who like lip fillers. Hollywood might set the standard and it’s men setting it, but it must be women who like the way the lips look, right?

Just like with Megan Fox, I personally don’t find the results appealing. It’s sad though, that apparently there were people in her life who made her think she wasn’t beautiful as is.

    11. If she regrets the surgery then I suspect she’s going to one day regret the way she’s kept herself in the public eye. She’s very famous for 1) an arranged relationship with a lunatic and 2) for wearing outrageous clothing. But not much else. Like I know some people love her because she’s so unfiltered (which is cool, to be fair) but virtually all of the ink spilled about her is about something other than her acting. That should be embarrassing, and if it’s not now I suspect it will be in the future. She’s still seeking external validation like she was with the surgeries.

Why can’t women just take responsibility for their own stupid shit..?

    13. Newsflash- you’re attractive to the right men without all those artificial enhancements

    14. Bubbaganewsh on

I don’t think I’ve ever seen cosmetic surgery actually enhance someone’s looks.

    15. As always, read more than the headline:

„Women set the bar for each other and I feel like if you’re setting an unrealistic bar [if you’re not honest]. That’s really great for you, but what about all the girls that are so impressionable and feeling like ‚Wait, why don’t I look like that and what’s wrong with me?'“ Fox added.
