Nothing changed. Just another room and the conditions coming from that room.

It’s cause the US has the cards and will continue to be the most influential on the world stage for decades.

Is there an end to European humiliation? The days of soft power are gone, we need powerful military and we need it fast. Also military alliance outside of NATO and EU (only selected countries, the EU as a whole will never agree on anything).

Those leaders… they should know what a dumb idea this is… I think it’s only understandable they tried once for the sake of Ukraine. You can’t expect anything good coming out of Trump’s involvement. But if they ever allow him to arrange a second meeting exactly like this, I’ll start being mad at them for letting themselves be disrespected like this.

    5. Image 1: G7 heads of state try to explain things to Trump, not understanding that he’s too dumb to reason with.

Image 2: Finally understanding that arguments are useless in front of him, Europeans fall back on trying to stroke his ego. This proved useless because he’s just Putin’s puppet.

    6. Ironically, the picture above is the reason why we ended up with the picture below

Merkel fucked up Europe for decades with her open borders policies, fuck her

The “humiliation” for Europe is not Trump, who is actually systematically weakening the US on the global stage – that red carpet treatment of Putin and the farce afterwards was even too much for Fox News.

The humiliation is that Europe needs to beg Trump not to sell out Ukraine in first place, the fact that Europe still relies on external powers for its own security.

That is humiliating and needs to change – and it is changing, believe it or not. The post-WW2 consensus is dead, the US does not want to be the guarantor of European security anymore, the same role that gave the US superpower status in first place and was actually US doctrine for decades, it’s not like it was benevolent altruism.

Europe had to learn this the hard way in the last few years and is adapting, but it needs time after wasting so much of it before. That’s what all the sycophancy and “stroking his ego” is really about, winning time.

The world will be a very different place in 10 years, as will Europe. The US-European relationship will never be the same again either.

    9. EU leaders trying to end war in Ukraine. Idk why some people say it’s humililation – i guess it’s their job

As a European I hate everything that is happening. I wish everyone could just leave the US behind. I wish we would actively enter the war to defend Ukraine. I feel like we are slowly becoming a sad dystopia like USA. There is no more honor here. Everyone is just clucthing their money.

The Europeans had to come to the sad conclusion that the only way that you can talk to this insecure man child is by flattering him first. Absolutely pathetic.

Castrated, yes we are. We have gone from being the Pimp’s favourite bitch to his third or fourth favourite.

With all of his threats, I hoped we had more balls as Europeans and withstood but we crumbled and bent the knee.

Macron and Trump are the only ones in both pictures. It isn’t just the setting, it is also the people that create this stark contrast.

Member when he said stop buying Russian energy and then they laughed while continuing to fund the Russian war machine?

I’ll never forget the utter arrogance of that „man“ when he pushed the European leaders (or whoever) aside just to be king of a photo op.

      Trump tamed Europe lol

They’re gathering around in silence like children in kindergarten

    17. MessagingMatters on

How it’s going is Trump looks more hunched and tired and old now.

    18. Efficient_Ad_4162 on

I mean, that second photo is just ‚a regular meeting under a president who isn’t Trump‘ so great work Trump for holding it together long enough to get a photo.

    19. Haunting_Meal296 on

What is the point of comparison? Merkel basically sold us to the Ruzzians.

    20. Professional_Doggie on

Trump turned out to be right. NATO is full of freeloaders that were naive about Russia and shouldn’t have been buying their gas.

    21. Aggressive_Fan_449 on

Trump went from being a president that was hounded by European leaders for demanding respect, to a president that is leading the way for those very same countries through a crisis. If Europe had their shit together they wouldn’t need to rely on Trump! Instead you have complacent European politicians having to look to their bigger and strongest ally for a way forward in making peace with a European dictator. It’s crazy because during the napoleon era you had Britain and its coalitions, but today you have a nation outside of Europe having to take the lead. Wtf even is the European Union if it can’t stand up to Russia? A single nation, with a smaller population and gdp compared to the European Union! The fact that Trump has to solve your problems is an embarrassment!

There are wealthy people all over the world who are supporting this, inside all of these so called progressive countries, and right now theyre sabotaging efforts to unite against it.

European Weak is their new slogan for the handouts they need 😆🤣😆🤣

    24. That’s what happens when you rely on an external factor for your security. If their armed forces were good enough, if they had enough production capabilities, if their technology was good enough, they would not need to sit with Trump at all. At least let’s hope they learn the lesson now and get armed to the teeth.

The thing is this photo was taken in 2018, when trump was trying to get everyone to up spending and not connect to Russian gas. In 2018 trump was ranting about how connecting to russian gas was fucking insane for germany since nato was supposed to contain russia, and if they connected to russian gas they wouldnt be able to stop using it in a time of war.

Literally everything he laid out was correct, not cause he’s smart but because hes parroting what US generals were advocating.

Merkel gambled with eastern european lives and lost, thats her legacy.

    26. The painting of Reagan hanging up behind him as he attempts to sell Ukraine down the river to the Russians is a sick joke.

He’d be spinning in his grave.

That photo of Merkel leaning over is not how it seems. Its a real photo but a fake message.

      Merkel.

Got drunk on Russian energy and crippled Germany.

Bolton. That guy. DJT had a lot of not great people in his first administration.
