> “I don’t think anyone wants to see a craggy, 72-year-old Bond, but if Villeneuve had something up his sleeve I would look at it in a heartbeat,” Brosnan said. “Why not? It’s great entertainment. It could be lots of laughs. Bald caps, prosthetics… who knows?”
I’d be there day one.
An old Bond film with Brosnan helmed by Villenueve would be *chefs kiss*
I’d love to see this happen
He was my generation’s Bond.
I’d be there.
That would be the best solution to get more time selecting a new bond…there would be so many people interested in seeing Pierce again. Would definitely be a box office hit regardless of how good it actually would be.
Yes. Please not Tom Holland.
The funny thing is Brosnan looks so ridiculously good at 72 he could probably pull it off
Old Man Bond, written by Mark Millar.
Given that Craigs character was *also* named james bond unless you write the name as well as the 007 title is passed on, then it works if you have him show up as a previous 007 with information on a case for a younger one
Canonize that James Bond is an identity that’s passed from person to person. Bring back Pierce and start the film off with a direct reference to Daniel Craig’s Bond’s death, and damn it we need a 007 now. There’s no time to find someone new.
I’d love a Bond comes out of retirement movie. Maybe have him save San Francisco from a chemical weapons attack
Geriatric Bond. It’s a whole new angle.
I would love for him to come back and them to make like a trilogy of slightly more classic style Bond movies with an older Bond coming out of retirement. There’s alot of nostalgia for Peirce’s Bond now I think after the heavier and more serious Craig era.
Would have to be a set thing, like 1 movie and if it goes down well 1 or 2 more rounding out a story. Or even just the 1, could be a good palate cleanser before they go all in on a new actor playing Bond.
Idc who is chosen I just love Villeneuve
He still looks great as well even if it’s a one off film I’d love it
007 is a designation. What happens when one gets one and retires?
I would love to see a new school vs old school bond movie with cameos etc.
An older Pierce paired with a younger Bond. Could be a hell of a movie.
Back when Connery was still alive, I thought it would be a great film to have him as the main villain.
I personally think they should’ve kept going in Craig universe.
Have someone took up his mantle and explore the other agents.
If they wanted to lean into the „James Bond“ as a codename theory, they could have him star alongside a younger actor playing a younger agent, and pass the torch onto a new „Bond“ both in-story and out.
Never say never again, again
It could be good if he plays 007 but dies and handover his number to someone he was training.
Or he was reactivated as 007 to train someone else or fight a bad guy we thought was killed but survived somehow.
I think Brosnan could pull it off if someone had to pull it off.
Brosnan absolutely has the range and presence to make a great Bond villain.
Old man Bond perhaps training a successor? A struggling 00′ program calls out their veterans to train the next generation.
A movie with Craig retired and meeting Brosnan who is also retired with some agency is trying to kill them and teaming up would be fun
Thats literally what the public has been asking for for ages now.
I love how much Pierce loves bond.
He could be a cool M. Have a call is coming from inside the house type plot where a former agent who worked his way up is now disillusioned with civilian oversight of MI6 and decides to use his power as head of it to reshape the world in the way that he thinks is best. Which results in him basically saying that people, including politicians, can’t be trusted with power, only those who’ve had his type of experiences and are smart and loyal to the British people should be allowed to shape the world. Also, some collateral damage is inevitable, Can’t make an omelet without blowing up a few radio telescopes.
Start off with him being cool and badass, the new 007 idolizes him and shows it through polite respect and advice seeking. Brosnan sends him on a few missions where it seems clear the target is bad at first, but pulling a thread starts to unravel doubts about why those people and groups were targeted. Sure, they’re not great, but they weren’t out to destroy the world, they were simply fanatical about a cause that Brosnan’s Bond opposes. The thread really starts getting pulled when Brosnan’s Bond says he’ll accompany the new guy on a mission „for old time’s sake.“
Over time we learn that Brosnan’s bond did help in destroying spector, however, the destruction was more of a decapitation than a complete dismantling of the organization. Some of the various pieces were secretly incorporated into an off the books MI6 program that was used for operations that they REALLY didn’t want the civilian oversites board to find out about. This could allow the filmmakers to cash in on some of that sweet sweet nostalgia by bringing back villains or henchmen who could have a plausible survival explanation.
At the end of the movie, Brosnan is defeated and the number three person in MI6 takes his place as the number two and Q were also in on the plot. The new M promotes the protagonist to the prestigious clandestine callsign 007 and presents them with their new paperwork with the name James Bond.
Brosnan as Bond for David Niven’s Casino Royale remake would be fun to watch.
Sean Bean should be back as well, reformed and 006.
Old Man Bond played by Brosnan is actually EXACTLY what I wanna see lol
“James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) gets pulled out of retirement when a dark secret from his past comes to light. But Bond is facing more than a villain. He also has to come to terms with the fact that he’s an old man in a young man’s world, and if he wants to save the world, he’s going to need to find new ways to solve old problems. Also starring Meryl Streep and a delightfully villainous Jason Sudeikis as The Count. A mysterious and wealthy man connected to everything and yet, invisible as he pulls the strings on the entire world without lifting a finger. Can James find a way to stop his plans to take over the world, or will his age catch up to him? Does James still have what it takes to be 007? Releasing this summer, Pierce Brosnan returns as James Bond for the final time in, “James Bond: Arc of Deception”
Instead of 007 make it an alternate ‚070‘ series, the James Bond retirement home stories. There are now how many TV series with the theme of ‚retirement home people solving murders‘ now? RED was a great movie series too.
Give him the David Niven aesthete treatment like in the original Casino Royale satire.
Id be down for a Logan/Maverick style send-off film for Brosnan’s Bond.
Brosnan needs a swan song film like The Rock for Connery.
