You needed a court to declare this? I’m pretty sure our laws don’t apply to any country, just as their laws don’t apply to ours.
They also don’t apply in the US, according to its top court.
The Magnitsky Act, is a U.S. law that imposes sanctions on foreign individuals deemed responsible for human rights abuses or corruption. This is total misuse of this law. There are no human rights or corruption issues involved in the Bolsonaro case. Trump is trying to infect the entire world with his vengeful and illegal actions.
Brazil frankly seems f#&#ked by either current political party/faction. The one in power, and the one that fled. Both seem terrible and corrupt.
It’s really disappointing watching from the outside as Brazil always seems set to be the South American dominant power, and a new major player on the world stage. Only for corruption and internal political turmoil to to f*$k things up.

Nonsense as an American our laws should apply to anyone we assist or give money too.
According to a quick check we gave Brazil 72.3 million in foreign aid recently if they don’t want to take our laws into consideration then that money shouldn’t be flowing.
