Unless Russia is forced to back down by force Ukraine is finished. There is no future or peace for Ukraine as long as Russia is their neighbor. So they either submit to what ever slaughter/torture the Russians have waiting for them or they fight to the death. Then Russia will regroup and move on to Moldova etc.

Russia is the villain here and always will be. If Russia want’s Ukraine it’s going to cost them even more then they’ve already paid. Eventually the west is going to have to face Russia, everyone’s just lying to themselves that Russia would respect any peace deals.
