      Don’t discard the possibility of Trump using „national emergency“ like „crimes in cities“ or something to delay the elections. This is serious shit. South Korean leader tried it and people there hit the streets and it was over within a night and if I’m not wrong he’s in jail.

      Trump is oblivious to the fact that only Congress can officially declare war. Even then there’s no basis or clause that would allow that. In WWII there was a Presidential election in 1944 with FDR against Dewey and that was the last officially declared war (8 December 1941).

      Now seeing (again) how the media and citizens react to him saying he won’t leave office.

      Spoiler: He is 100% not leaving office (even if there is an election).

      He learned that nobody, judges, AG’s, etc will hold him accountable.

      That ship sailed. He should have been on trial within months of Jan 6.

      He should have been arrested within hours of stealing classified documents.

      He should have been sentenced for being found guilty on 34 felonies.

      Every guard rail failed, and he’s definitely not leaving. Mark my word.

      He’s a weak leader and administrator. No other US president has had to suspend voting during wartime. In fact, the US has been in armed conflict more often than it hasn’t for most of its history.

      Elections for federal office are actually state elections conducted by state officials using state resources pursuant to state law.

      As such, the federal executive has no power to „cancel elections“ irrespective of any „war“.

      At this point you have to be delusional to believe he won’t do anything to hold power. He is placing loyalists at every level of government. We have passed authoritarianism and moving into totalalism. The US stopped being a democracy a few months ago.
