Great guy always a fan however not of Sharon. She probably didnt like the way she looked so got the programme stopped until she had some more cosmetic work done…. Thats sure is a rotten thing to say isnt it?

Sounds to me like they said something about him that wouldn’t go down well now that he’s passed

Let’s hope it’s something trivial – like they included some music but didn’t get clearance for the rights.

I’m assuming that signing off of the doc was somehow invalidated by his death and has to be revalidated by his executor or management team. It may be that they’d hoped to have done it in time for air date or someone in legal realised this at the final hour and told them to delay release.

Probably a circle jerk with some of the presenters knowing the BBC.

Maybe it was a character assassination doc. 40 odd years ago, the bbc did a documentary about heavy metal, which was widely regarded as utter crap.

I know he was a bit of a dick, but please let this be music rights related or some sort of estate/admin thing, and not something really bad

Well, it’s the BBC, so they probably did a hatchet job on him, and someone has realised they can’t afford the bad publicity.
