      I’m pretty sure it was going to bomb regardless of the AE controversy. No one was talking about it before the ads (or even during the ads) to begin with.

      It was clear at the time this was a complete failure of public relations, you don’t upset the majority to chase a minority.

      This is a super Indy film not sure it would’ve done good even without the controversy. If anything it should’ve helped her publicity wise. I’m not a fan of hers myself. I don’t think she can act. Honestly, I think she needs to take a break for a bit and recalibrate or something.

      Did this movie get any advertising? I’ve never heard of it until now which is probably the bigger factor over a jeans commercial imo

      Edit: I guess it’s an indie she filmed a while ago that’s just releasing now. So they probably had too small of a budget for marketing.

      Honestly, I’ve never seen her in anything except a couple SNL sketches, but the movie has a good supporting cast. Paul Walter Hauser and Zahn McClarnon are always great. Simon Rex was great in Red Rocket. I’m not excited to see this movie or anything but I might watch it when it comes to free streaming.

      I know she’s a Republican, but a lot of wealthy celebrities we don’t hear about are probably secretly MAGA. They’re lowering taxes on the wealthy and a lot of wealthy people vote based on their own taxes only. I’m a very left leaning American but I’m I’ll watch movies made by conservative film makers. Clint Eastwood is conservative and has made a bunch of great movies. Mel Gibson is vile but he’s made some good ones too. Craig Zahler made some good ones before he went off the deep end.

      Paul Walter Hauser is definitely not MAGA. I’ve heard him interviewed a few times and he always makes it clear he’s a Democrat and a Christian.

      I mean she was pretty good in it, and it was a „indie“ project so i dont know what they expect. But i mean continue this weird hate train i guess?

      I mean, she has basically leveraged her boobs as far as she could, without going into porn. So it has been a very good run, if anything.

      No, it bombed because it is bloody awful and Sydney Sweeney is at best an average actress.
