    1. As a Progressive, welcome to the conversation. It only took how many years?

Gosh, Kathy, took you fucking long enough. Was it the pictures of children dying of starvation or was it the political shift that made you wake the fuck up?

    3. OkVermicelli2557 on

Only took a metric shit ton of dead civilians, the ICC issuing a warrant for Bibi’s arrest last year, Israeli officials openly being genocidal since the start, and the Democratic voter base starting to turn on them on this issue for Democrats in power to start seeing the reality of the situation.

    4. That wasn’t already obvious to you after the strikes on world food kitchen aid workers?

A little bit of optimism that more people are starting to come around, and a lot of purity testing going on in this thread.

      Title is confusing as hell.

    6. Now that the mass starvation has reached the point where even if people were to receive food, they will still be permanently damaged and disabled for the rest of their lives, Democrats are making noises about how it’s a genocide.

Democrats made sure to wait until the damage was permanent, and irreversible, before they finally say that „enough is enough“

I can’t believe people are falling for this.

    7. We cannot erase the truth, only delay it. The truth always comes out. Always.

People thought Iraq, Afghanistan and so many countless countries were a „victory“.

But what scares me is that, by the time the truth comes out, it will be too late, like always. 1 million Iraqis then and now nearly 100,000 Gazans not to mention 5 million Palestinians currently refugees on their own land.

Crazy it took this long. It is and has been a genocide. Better late than never I guess…

And she supports the genocide because rhetoric about wanting a permanent ceasefire or a two state solution is entirely meaningless if you’re still talking about supporting Israeli security and not explicitly supporting ceasing all aid, an arms embargo, sanctions, not shielding Israel at the UN, etc.

The damn is finally breaking and some of y’all want to patch it back up so you can feel like rebels.

      >One day, when it’s safe, when there’s no personal downside to calling a thing what it is, when it’s too late to hold anyone accountable, everyone will have always been against this.

    12. The fuck is this headline? It’s patently false. The media has gone to shit with the rise of underfunded online journalism.

Insane that only now you can recognize what any of us watching have recognized from the start. We need it to happen, but boy, the embarrassment from silence up until now has to be holding back some of them.

    14. If Dems take the house in 2026, she would become house Majority leader. Her voice matters believe it or not.

    15. Doesn’t matter when leadership in both the house and senate still call it a humanitarian disaster and blame it on Hamas.

All it took was Trump winning for them to suddenly turn on Netanyahu who was always very publicly a fan of Trump

    17. Is Russia also then committing Genocide because they are
Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group

    18. wildwalrusaur on

Sure is nice that the Democrats have so much time and energy to dedicate towards bickering with one another over a conflict happening on the other side of the world that doesn’t/shouldn’t involve us.

Playing their fiddles while the Republic burns down around them

    19. And in today’s news, Katherine Clark finally admitted an orange is an orange. If only others would get the guts to admit this. Of all countries to commit genocide, Israel is quite the ironic one.
