„Selling out the Ukrainian people to Russia“
There is no „Ceasefire“ at this point. A ceasefire is a Russian victory.

In the unfolding drama of the Russia–Ukraine conflict, two new plot twists this spring and summer invite us to ponder the cost of peace and the perils of symbolic diplomacy.
First, Hillary Clinton’s remark that she’d nominate Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize—*but only* if he secures an end to the war without any Ukrainian territorial concessions and a complete Russian withdrawal—casts a moral litmus test on modern geopolitics: peace proffered at the price of Ukrainian sovereignty is no peace at all.

Should probably depend on the terms. If it requires giving up everything all the way to Kiev, then it’s not really much of a peace, is it?

That for people never forget that US politics, unlike the rest of the world, has two right hands.

Some very cynical takes in this thread. Even if trump is nominated, the committee is not going to give him the Nobel Peace prize. The nomination probably sounds enticing to him though, and a few hours of Hillary Clinton’s time is the cheapest price one could possibly pay for total Russian withdrawal from Ukraine.

Super misleading title. She specifically said she would do so if the peace involved no territorial concessions. No one credible actually thinks Trump deserves a Nobel Peace Prize..
edit: honestly, op should be banned for posting this trash. it’s intentionally misleading and borders on propaganda.

Okay, good to see the title is misleading. This summit is the biggest foreign policy betrayal since Munich, it’s actually worse.

If he was to negotiate a “deal” whereby putin leaves Ukraine and gives back all of the land he’s occupied in exchange for Ukraine not seeking NATO membership for a period of 10 years I think that would be a good deal. I thought that was a woman talking.

I could be wrong but I don’t think you get the Nobel Peace Prize for temporary pauses in fighting, you get it for negotiating treaties and ends to wars.
