      Based, go for it, Colorado. I’m a Texan and I support all these efforts by blue states so we can stop this fascist takeover.

      If Republicans will use this tactic, then it’s fair for the Democrats to do so and they should have done this long ago.

      Good but i still have my beliefs that all of these, CA, CO, NY, they are all performative. I want to see exact tangible guaranteed things that are going to happen.

      Before anyone says, „no, a Republican governor would abuse this!“ It’s important to remember they would anyways. Better to use the power and fight now to save America from evil before they evil has the power.

      Good. Colorado can easily gerrymander to a fully democratic group. Right now there’s quite a few republicans

      I don’t know how much I trust Gov Polis to actually meet the moment, though.

The governor could declare emergency authority or a majority of the Legislature could enact it.

      I do like this language and hope all states adopt it. If a state’s partisan representation is more than a certain percentage beyond the popular vote, there’s got to be something up. Races have got to be more competitive, and in my opinion, all districts should be made as competitive as possible. Now, of course, you’ll have competitive districts, but data needs to be followed and independent commissions need to be used nationwide. Before that, I think all existing independent commissions should be halted at least in the face of Trump’s radical redistricting plan.

      Normally I would be against this because of the potential for abuse by a Republican, but this is war and I am on the side of the United States against fascism. Please proceed and I will vote in the affirmative.

      Please use this to push your crazy woman congressperson out. I can’t remember if yours is the 35 year old grandma who gives public hand jobs or the Jewish space lasers one. Too lazy to look it up. Which ever, get her out.

      I hate that we have to get in the mud to fight MAGA. But the high road hasn’t worked, so there isn’t any other option. What’s scary, though, is that they have home mud advantage.

      Emergency redistricting authority in the hands of one person? Isn’t there a middle ground with some legislative oversight?

      Let’s do it! I was for the anti gerrymandering effort several years ago in theory, but only if the red states stopped doing it first.

      I would be for it if the amendment has a sunset clause, we don’t need this as a part of regular operations where it could be abused, like in Texas.

      These proposals should all have a time limit baked in. It is an existential threat and I support the action but while this is on the books we don’t have a democracy.

      As a Floridian, please do it. The Republican state government here is trying to rob us of representation as well.

      Until there is a nationwide ban, Democratic states need to gerrymander **Congressional** districts to counteract the gerrymandering being done by Republican states.
