      I’m fine with you being pro-business, if your voters are, too. I’m not fine with you being pro-business because business owns you. The legislation coming from the latter type of congressperson would be vastly different from the former.

      Obama straight up said to avoid the circular firing line. The reason kamal lost is progressives didn’t vote for her. Muslims for trump. The idea that there will be a perfect candidate for everyone in a 2 party system is batshit crazy. We need electables. Klobuchar is a great example. Someone too progressive would lose Minnesota and fuck the country. Why? Cause it’s fucking Minnesota

      To be fair, they don’t *have* to go. They could decide that they want to ride the wave and go with citizen first policies and help the people they represent. They just don’t want to. 

      Similar to the „unforgivable sin“ idea – no sin is unforgivable… except the ones you don’t ask forgiveness for.

      Only issue with this is that if the Corporations have no Democrats to throw their money behind to get what they want, it means they will turn to funding the Repugnantcans to get their way.

      WE NEED TO WIN OR DIE!! I don’t care one bit if we use corporate money or „corporate candidates“ if they can win. We stop MAGA or we’re done. Some progressives don’t seem to have comprehended this yet. Which makes me wonder how many are actually for the other side.

      In all seriousness, is there any more objective measure of their bottomless failure than the current state of the country?

      Establishment Democrats didn’t merely fail to enact their agenda. They failed to stop the end of democracy.

      It may already be too late, but doing the same things they’ve been doing is bankrupt.

      Yeah… ‚corporate dems‘ had more than their fair share of chances already. We need people that mean business and aren’t afraid to enact the drastic changes we need. For president, we need a new FDR at this point—someone that will transform the entire system in favor of the working class.

      Ho back to being a party of the people.  

      Take the appropriate steps to make it happen. Bring back Glass-Steagal, overturn Citizens United. Take corporate lobbying out of politics. Empower the working class again.

      It will all reach a boiling point where far left leaders come to populist power and create a whole new set of problems because neither traditional party could manage to balance the needs of the people and needs of their wealthy overlord donors
