Any such motion would completely negate any contracts. The unpaid hours are built in.

If you get $50/hour per flight. They know there’s 2 hours of work that’s unpaid. That’s not new information for the union. So if you want to get paid for it, they’d just average down the hourly rate until its about the same. Airline would let them strike for as long as they like if they wanted to maintain the hourly rate

Same as if you get any contractor, an hour work is worth $150-$200. There’s 3 hours of prep and travel time built into that hour of work.

THIS CAN’T BE RIGHT! PEOPLE WERE TELLING ME NDP ABANDONED WORKERS AND WASN’T PRO LABOUR ANYMORE!

On a serious note this is good policy as workers should be paid for all the work they do.
