      > Chaos erupted outside a controversial Canary Wharf migrant hotel after a man believed to be staying there allegedly walked into a woman’s house.

      > The man is said to have entered the house after being followed by a group of men on the street and told to ‚go back to the hotel‘ where anti-migrant protesters were gathered outside.

This sounds more like he may have gone in to escape a potential threat to himself. It’s not the best idea to enter a random person’s house, but he might have been panicking.

Given the daily mail I suppose this is supposed to stoke outrage… but yeah this is just how the law works. Trespass isn’t a crime. Keep your doors locked folks.

They tend to do that whoever it is. Only story here is the police are a bit shit, the courts & CPS are at breaking point because of the massive cuts started by David Cameron & prisons are bursting.

If he was being followed by an aggressive group and entered a random house to escape danger, why does the gender of the occupant matter?

Whenever you see a daily mail article, you can always do well to ask yourself “ okay, but what really happened?” Because it’s just common sense that the headline is a lie and misleading

The fact he is a migrant has no bearing on the story, except to stir up more hatred

    7. I would bet a significant amount of money that the situation isn’t as the Mail described.

Anti immigration vigilante group force defenceless asylum seeker to seek shelter in nearby house

    9. It’s trespassing but the goose marchers and the Daily Mail seem to be wishing it was more.
