Really? Even 35 years after Iron Curtain still stuck in East/West mentality?
Lubljana is located further west than Vienna or Stockholm.
It was a part of Holy Roman Empire for 800 years.

    3. lol 😀

next time euronews: france – the first nordic country to eat so many frog legs

    4. Euronews also described Slovenia as „landlocked“, later changed to „mostly landlocked“ (what does that even mean?) and mentions that locals keep chickens at home and butcher their own meat. They also advise travellers against attacks from grizzly bears.

So yeah, not the best of sources.

You wrong about Eastern. Most of the Slovenia is western to Vienna so it is not Eastern European

    6. Don’t think our neighbors will appreciate being called Eastern European. 😂

Lmao for all the comments complaining about the “Eastern” label

Yeah we get it bro, you’re “central” but in the classic East/West Europe pre 1991 divide which everyone understands clearly, you’re East sorry

    8. Slovenia is not an Eastern European country. Literally underneath Austria. Would you call Austria Eastern Europe?

Not sure whether your country qualifies as „Western Europe“ or „Eastern Europe“?

      Ask yourself a simple question:
When visiting your grandma, did she have an indoor toilet or an outhouse?

      You’re welcome 😉

If Slovenia is in Eastern Europe, shouldn’t then Austria be part of Eastern Europe as well? If that is the case, then Austria was the first country in Eastern Europe that allows assisted suicide.
I would locate Slovenia in Central Europe, and there it’s clearly not the first country with sich a law (I believe Switzerland were the front runners?).
