      Lord Walney, formerly the government’s anti-extremism tsar, said the camps “risked indoctrinating” children and that it was right that it was not going ahead.“

      Sounds like this decision was made to protect the children from indoctrination rather than protests.

      Odd headline, pretty clear this camp shouldn’t be allowed to happen. Not because it’s for Muslims, but because it’s intended to promote extreme views.

      Anyone who would protest at a children’s camp is a certain kind of scumbag.

      Also any parent who sends their kid to a religious only camp is both intentionally forcing them to commit to their personal ideals and not allowing them to integrate with their community they live in, which are bad ideas for a many reasons.

      What’s more concerning is why we allow this ‘charity’ to exist in the first place.

      Here’s an extreme thought.

      How about we ban all „religious“ exclusive camps – Muslim, Christian **and** Jewish / Hindu / Sikh.

      It doesn’t have any place in the UK to start with, and can only end up leading to situations like this.

      We’re an *inclusionary* culture, not an *exclusionary* one.
