I’ve said harsher and equal things before and not had a problem, but calling out pedophiles? That ain’t cool.
There is a point here tho.
If we have an open door policy to people who think they may be a pedo or have these kinds of sick thoughts, we are more likely to be able to monitor them, cure them and thus keep our children safe rather than making the pedos go underground and actually start committing sick acts on our children.
I bet hardly any people go to their doctors and say ‘hey, I think I might be a pedo, I need mental help’ because they’re too scared of the violence that’s openly shown against them.
I just want my kids safe. I don’t care if I have to accept pedos as a mental illness or not.

You are right, treating pedophiles like somekind of „victims“ of a mental illness have been tested too during the last 5 – 10 years, the outcome was quite bad, it didn’t stop pedophiles to predate children at all but it also created people who tolerated this.
They need to be tracked with a forced chemical castration medication, never be close to any place where kids could be in, at any signs of urges, they should be captured to stay in a cell, they shouldn’t be tolerated if they can’t control themself.
This argument doesn’t hold up. Technically a pdf is someone who acted on it, not someone with those thoughts so yes, pdfs are in fact VERY FUCKING BAD

The punishement for such an offence should be so that you would be scared to death just thinking about it…
Sure you can kill them. But using them as forced test subjects for scientist would be more beneficial for society imo. Could also make it faster to get certain medications approved. No one would care if they lived or died during these tests.
I totally agree with the second comment. Like, control your urges, that’s part of being a human being in a society… you shouldn’t be attracted to children, acting upon it or not.
By the way, where are these pedo’s that aren’t whacking it to thousands and thousands of images of child porn? (which is 100% still victimizing children…)
You know a good way to stop doing something? Stop thinking about it. The pedos that haven’t molested (yet) are still thinking about it, whacking to it, etc. They will act upon it at some point, no doubt.
Mental health clinician here to say that there’s no treatment for being attracted to children. 😵💫

We should only punish those that actually breaks the law. Everything else is a backdoor to thought crime. I bet most of us have had some kind of criminal thought in our lives, without acting on them. Follow me here. I am going somewhere with this. As a gay man growing up in the 90s and came out around 16. I was told being gay is bad in many different ways. I eventually said fuck you people im going to have sex with men. Idgaf
Now imagine growing up, and you realize you are attracted to kids. Then you hit puberty and are super horny but society is saying its wrong, and you know it’s wrong too, but! You say fuck it and secretly find ways to be around kids to target innocent children. So you see this will always be a hidden until its too late.
I wish I had the answer to solve this, but it seems like the only thing you can do to keep your kids safe. Is by teaching them early on, nobody should touch you in the wrong places, and they should tell you immediately if someone does. Pedos steals innocence and ruins people’s lives forever!
