It’s hard. I don’t want to be a right voter and every test I take tells me I am a little to the left in my voting but… I see immigration going wrong. I see my taxes being deducted, yet nothing really changing or just getting worse. Services are taken away, public space is dirty. I want to be left, but politicians make it impossible.
I want to pay taxes and share my income to support improving my country and the EU. I want immigrants to do great and be a part of our society. But everything I see tells me that’s not happening for the most part.
wild theory but I think this is a sign of societal decay. Europes place in the world has deteriorated rapidly the last 40-50 years and it will continue to do so. People notice and start voting against their current system, which is liberal democracy. The fact that what comes after it will very likely be even worse doesnt really matter

One way of looking at the Weimar Republic is to ask „How did the fascists rise to power?“ Another way to look at it is „How did the center and left lose power?“
Its shameful really. Dangerous as hell. Honestly, if we dont stand up now we will end up like Russia or the US
Cmon guys we just need to capitulate to the right more on social issues and completely ignore all economic problems and surely that will stop them!!
This is what happens when all the major parties are just a different flavor of neoliberalism. Most Western European countries hadn’t had a change in policies for decades and now that the problems created by neoliberalism are getting worse and worse, the major parties are like „Well, tough luck. We certainly won’t help you. Also: We are getting more immigration because of demographic change but by now, you should have gotten used to it.“
The left meanwhile is being demonized by the major parties and left wing politicians calling for liveable wages are called extremists and communists.
Guess who remains out there as the only option?
It’s not only the racism and the reactionary agenda against human rights. Each time a populist takes control, it’s all the economy that goes back 10 years because of the incompetence and nepotism (there was a serious study that came to this number if someone is interested).
Ban them all, including the far-left populists. Only liberal parties should be allowed in democracy.
Last time, the right populists worked really great for Germany. Lost half of their country, lost German as world scientific language, lost more than 5 million people in the stupid war and left country in ruins, and had to invite migrants to build the country. Not talking about victims. Why not repeat the same with same loser?
It’s a reactionary movement to the current government not caring for the real problem that is mass immigration without telling everyone racists.

I’ll keep on voting Sweden Democrat as long as we have a problem with immigrants and fundamentalist Islam. When it’s fixed, great, I’ll look for other parties to vote for, but until then I will continue voting for them to solve the problem.

Only UK and France are in dangerous positions. Reform UK only have 26% of voter share. But they would get 271 seats put of 650 seats or nearly 42% of seats.
In France RN got only 33% of the votes in first round.
As long as there’s proportional representation far right can’t do much damage.
Even Italy’s meloni couldn’t do much. She has backtracked on some of her promises already.
You can top the polls as much as you like 3 years before an election, it means nothing.

Most people don’t even want a lot of the other policies those right wing parties support, but immigration just trumps everything. Just look at Denmark.

These far right parties will fade into oblivion when left wing parties start tackling illegal immigration and controlling the amount of refugees entering the country. Instead they want to pretend it is isn’t a problem.
