Ich habe einmal Luftaufnahmen eines Ortes mit Häusern auf einem See gesehen, während ich nach Lagermaterial für ein Projekt suchte. Jetzt sehe ich das auf meinen Freunden IG, sie fragte mich, wo es sei und sagte, sie habe nie einen Ort gesehen (sie ist zypriot). Ich bin hier aufgewachsen, auch nicht.

Switzerland. Those houses are very Swiss in style, Cyprus doesn’t have that geography, and it wouldn’t be a green at this time of year.

It might be a mistranslation. He’s fishing for carp which is a freshwater fish (hence the lake in the picture). The scientific name is Cyprinus, and even in Greek I’ve heard people say κυπρινος (γραβαδι, σαζάνι).
