      Then again, I was there in Italy in 93, no way 58% of the population back then would have declared that homosexuality can never be justified.

      Sadly homophobia is on the rise again lately in the Netherlands. But mostly among a certain population.

      Looking at the epic progress Japan has made, but still has a way to go if gay marriage is not yet legalised there.

      Come on, actually the top 8. Canada is more European than some European countries (yes, I’m looking at you Belarus), they just have the misfortune of being geographically wrongly positioned.

      It’s been 20 years since same-sex marriage was legalized — the third country in the world to take that step — and now we’re not even in the top 10??

      Kind of surprised about China? I knew gay people are not really visible – or expected to be visible – around there, but didn’t think the public view of gays was so negative. Especially since it’s such a non-religious country and you have big lgbt-friendly cities like Chengdu.

      I live in South Korea and can unfortunately confirm. And young men in their 20s are actually less supportive than men in their 50s…

      Shoutout to sweden and norway for going from 50% to 10%. Denmark was always a bit gay so that progress isn’t as impressive.

      There are still people in every single country who blindly hate us for no fucking reason.

      I perceive that graph as amazing tbh. Look at the huge global perception change in just 30 years. I only wish the trend does not reverse…

      Doesn’t really matter – as this doesn’t look like a very complete list. E.g. Belgium is missing – but I also seem to think we have more then 35 countries in the world…

      And South Korea being almost as homophobic as Russia 😳
