What’s really interesting to me is how surprised and thrown off these reps are at the town halls. I knew they were out of touch, but it just seems like they thought everyone was happy with them turning this country into a corporatist hellhole.
Not only are they not doing town halls, if you email them about trump they completely ignore it and don’t respond. The Republicans know that they will get crushed in a normal election next year so the plan is police takeover Democrat areas and when they still lose don’t accept the results.
CA’s 1st district is one of the safest GOP seats. Time to gerrymander that fucker

Unfortunately I believe most of the people going to those town halls are going to be Democrats, liberals and progressives who want an outlet for their rage. MAGA’s are definitely not going to be there. I question whether even any „normal“ Republican who regrets voting for Trump would want to be there if for no other reason other than not wanting to endlessly trying to justify their vote.
Protip: Go to where ever you can meet with republican representatives, town halls, conference calls, fundraisers (that are free to attend). Wear flags. Give them hell.

Added fun fact: he scheduled this for 7:30-9:00 am.. seems like LaMalfa hoped the time would mean most people couldn’t make it because of work…
**WHY** did he have a town hall, though? What was he expecting to accomplish? Is he getting nervous about midterms? Is he intending to use the blowback from his constituents as an excuse to pull away from MAGA? Was he forced to do it for some reason?
The outcome was inevitable – it’s happened over and over and over again. So why?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m very glad he did. I think these town halls are one of the most powerful and convincing examples of how the People really feel about MAGA right now. And I hope it scares the shit out of the Greedy Old Pedophiles.
