I think it’s completely reasonable to impose the same restrictions on Israeli athletes as we’ve imposed on Russian athletes. Just like Russia, Israel is committing absolutely horrific war crimes and blatantly disregarding international law and human rights. The stark contrast between Canada’s response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and Israel’s genocide in Gaza discredits our moral stance.

If Russian athletes aren’t allowed to compete under their national banner in Canada, Israeli athletes shouldn’t be allowed either. Russia and Belarus have been suspended from all Davis Cup international team competitions and Israel should be as well. If the ITF won’t suspend Israel, Canada should absolutely boycott the match.
