What rules. At the moment Trump pulls tariffs from his behind to coerce the rest of the world. The world will remember
“Rules based system” wasn’t a thing, it’s pretty obvious in hindsight the only reason that war declined in the Cold War era was American hegemony and not much else.
Also while Trump’s tariffs are insane, our Free trade era of the 2000s and 2010s was also relatively recent with NAFTA happening in the 90s and China not joining WTO until 2000.
