      He’s probably taking over DC to essentially create one giant fort to protect his authoritarian government, for when whatever horrific plan he rolls out against the citizens causes us to rise up against it

      If it’s Trump, he’s either:

      A) Going to stop counting the crime numbers

      B) Make up the new stats

      C) Deploy ICE/Federal Troops and encourage them to ignore the law

      But likely it’s a combination. Disgrace.

      My greatest concern is that this is part of a strategy involving him refusing to honor the results of the mid-terms if the results flip the House, which as things stand now it appears likely they will. The Republicans are very concerned about massive losses in the mid-terms, and they should be. In the 2018 mid-terms, when Dumpy wasn’t even *close* to being as unpopular as he is now, the Dems gained 41 seats in the House.

      Remember that while he may be too mentally feeble to plan or strategize at length anymore, those around him are not. It’s easy to see the redistricting and new census mess the Republicans are trying to create being used as a justification for trying to call the mid-terms „invalid“ when they don’t go their way, and refusing to allow the seating of the new Congress without new elections, under their conditions of course.

      I think it’s insane that in the year 2025 with all the technology we have, lab grown meat, gene editing, near limitless carbon free electricity if we wanted to invest in it, etc. and these idiots want to speed run the proven mistakes of the last hundred years.

      Let me guess. If the police don’t answer phones or do patrols, there are no crime numbers. DC becomes Tortuga, the pirate capital with no laws, including kiddie diddling.

      I don’t think he will roll back the Home Act. Not sure congress would go along.

      My bet is that he will take the guard and it will become a police state. Add in the agencies that SCOTUS says he directly controls, and DC dies.
