Makes my alarm bells go off for sure!!! Years ago I was like how would they make that happen and then boom… it happens… project 2030 is in full swing!
Just saw this the other day and thought „man that’s just stupid“.
They banned most activities that could involved any kind of fire risk; accidental or not, because it hasn’t rained for 2 months and it’s not expected to rain significantly enough to quell fire risks anytime soon
There’s nothing conspiratorial about it, we just don’t want the province to light up like a Christmas tree granny forgot to water. We’ve had bans like this in the past, it’s all based around the extreme fire risk we currently have going on

Do you realize how stupid a comment that is. I live in Nova Scotia, normally a wet climate that hasn’t seen rain in two months. So dry decks, gardens and grass is just spontaneously combusting. So f off with the propaganda
Actually, we did that in France for almost 25 years and forest fires had drastically reduced. You can’t help people to be stupid and light fires unfortunately.
BTW, forest fires are back but because our governement cut money to the firefighters to give to our billionnaires but I’m pretty sure you know this song too.
There’s A lot of reasons fires start and yes people are to blame most of the time and lightning of course. Instead of fining people for hiking maybe just keep the ban at cooking outdoors or any fires obviously and keep the fines.
Clear cutting and bad forest maintenance are also to blame. Good forest practices, wild firefighters and fire bombers all have been underfunded for sometime so the government wants to force lockdowns on nature instead of making up for this. It’s ridiculous, and yes people need to be better.
Can we just end government already?
Do whatever it takes to stop that shit from coming down here. This summer has been awful.

Temporarily. Should we not treat an extremely high first risk as other risks where they close parts of parks down for? Falling boulders, landslides, floods, etc.
There seems to be a few people in this world making a lot of decisions for a whole lot of people who never even asked for an opinion.

Look this is a detailed business plan they’ve been following for hundreds of years. It’s not secret, literally everything people believe is a conspiracy was told about by the perpetrators each and every time.
I remember reading the agenda in detail in the 90s. They had the maps of what cities there will be by 2050 and the rest is ‚government lands‘. Then some lady even did a talk about it and showed those maps.
None of this is surprising. I guess watching unconscious consumers perpetually freak out is.. amusing if not concerning.. but what exactly do you people want from these boring posts about decades old plans being played out…

They’ve been doing that in parts of the US for years. For example, the Tonto National Forest in AZ is often closed for months at a time in the summer. It’s not good but it will expand.
To some extent, I get it if it’s temp or just during the summer / dry season. However, the no hiking thing seems bizarre, and even more so the response from people being okay with that. I hear the concern about fires being started accidentally or even on purpose (arson). I’m not sure that means you can say, no one can go into the wilderness until the government says so. Maybe limiting activities to no fires of any kind and if so the fine is applied. Seems like a pretty wild thing to do even during fire season. We do not do that in Southern California because saying you can’t go I to the woods at all would be fairly crazy (emergency aside). Part of me doesn’t believe this is real. Similar to filling in skate parks with sand and arresting surfers during covid.
