They are literally trying to rewrite history, because they want to keep doing things which they KNOW will make climate change worse for all of humanity. And they are doing it for money they don’t need, because every single one of these loathsome parasites is wealthy beyond imagining.
It’s just sickening, and it continues to boggle my mind that people actively support this insanity, even working people, with their flags and hats and their Neo-fascist craziness.
I wonder if there will be a backup so that way when the adults finally get control of the government again we can just revert to previous findings on day 1.

In Orwell’s book, the Ministry of Truth is tasked with eliminating objectionable content *from history*, which means rooting out and incinerating written and other evidence of the past, expunging records, and passing off just-produced material as if it were part of the historical record. A major theme of the book is erasure of the past, so that no one really knows what happened, how the ruling regime came to power, and how the country ended up in its present state.
